Today whole World is batteling with Covid-19 Pandemic. Most countries have enforced countrywide lockdown to contain the spread of the infection and save the lives of individuals. The organizations are either closed or are overseeing set-up to make individuals work from home. The next wave around the world will be disruption in the business process and more so it will be around digitizing the business process.
In our series of webinars for our student community, we hosted our 2nd webinar on topic ‘Disruption in ‘Business Digitization’ & Future Job Prospects in Digital World Post Covid-19. Our speaker of the webinar was ‘Siddhartha Rayapudi’ who is a digital evangelist, associated with Hyderabad’s top Digital & Marketing Tech company Social DNA, as a Business strategy and innovation head.
One of the key objectives of the webinar was to underline significance of changing digital innovation and its effect on business. The speaker took us to an excursion from Mid 18th century to 21st century, clarifying how the advancement of innovation has empowered business toward proficient procedures and turning factors of productions on its head.
The webinar further progressed with the conversation on the effect of Covid-19 on drying up of incomes and slowing economic activity. The speaker stressed on the point that Covid-19 is turning out to be a key trigger in bringing digital transformation across industries. Many aspects of the business processes are likely to turn digital and being tech-savvy is likely to yield benefits to employees.
Siddhartha also discussed the recent development which took place between Facebook and Jio. In this deal, Mark Zuckerberg has recently bought nearly 10% stake in Reliance-JIO. This deal is likely to disrupt the technology sector as Facebook’s official statement reads –
“This investment underscores our commitment to India and our excitement for the dramatic transformation that Jio has spurred in the country. In less than four years, Jio has brought more than 388 million people online, fueling the creation of innovative new enterprises and connecting people in new ways. We are committed to connecting more people in India together with Jio.”
Speaking more about jobs opportunities & skill sets, he said that the students have to be tech-savvy and think beyond pursuing a technical degree. To stand out the students should learn to use technical tools, become tech-savvy, and explore opportunities to build personal equity.
